The Digs:

This place is super cool with a touch of Southern charm. You’ll find a lot of outdoor space, with various types of seating, great for a Saturday afternoon. The indoor spaces have large doors that open up to make the inside feel like the outside on nice days. There is both an indoor and outdoor bar for your convenience.

The Grub:

I was able to try a lot of things on this trip as we had a group with us and I made everyone share at least one bite with me, of course!

A few notes:

Bread for the Table: It was a nice serving with seeds on top. I didn’t care for the seeds but the inside of this bread was very soft. The butter and honey with it was wonderful.

Crispy Rice Balls: They were cooked perfectly and a good size, but they just weren’t my favorite. I felt like they could have done a little more to bring out the ham flavor and perhaps a different sauce would have gone better with it.

Devilish Toast: This was amazing! It is probably the best-tasting egg salad I’ve had, ever. Great flavors and I hated I had to share. Multiple people at the table said they’d get that as their meal when they come back.

Maltagliati: This one sounded strange…..kimchi in spaghetti sauce? But it was actually quite lovely.  This was another crowd favorite in our group.

Golden Chicken: I loved the marinade/sauce on this chicken. It was very tender and deboned, which was a lovely bonus! My favorite part of this meal was when I got to eat the leftovers the next day. Added it to some rice with broccoli and it made for a great lunch.

NY Strip: It was good. Tender. Not the best steak I’ve ever had. The sauce was good but I probably would have preferred it to be reduced down a bit more or thickened a bit. The mushrooms were a nice topping and were cooked nicely.

Brownie with Raspberry Ice Cream: Wonderful! The brownie was chewy and good sized but the raspberry ice cream on top really added the extra wow factor.

I’d also like to mention the alcohol selection. Awesome cocktails, great wine, and good beers. This is the place to be if you are looking for a great atmosphere and a nice drink.

The Service:

Our server was funny and very helpful in picking out various dishes. He wasn’t great at bussing the table, but otherwise, the service was fantastic.

The Scratch (Per Person):

$60+ with drinks

The Duds:

Wear anything. People were there in everything from sweatpants to dress clothes.

Take Note:

I can imagine this is the place to be on the weekends. Or at least it should be. I happened to visit on a Tuesday and it wasn’t very crowded at all but the patio here is wonderful and their selection of beverages would make for a fantastic Saturday.
