A quaint restaurant in a small mountain town.  Stop here for lunch or dinner and plan to stay for a bit as the shops and eateries on this cute street are very cool!  Great food, awesome drink list, just a quick trip off the interstate.

16 E Main St. Saluda, NC 28773

The Digs:

This restaurant is right in the middle of the cute little town of Saluda, North Carolina. It’s a good stop on the way to the mountains from Charlotte. I’ve actually been to this restaurant a few times and it’s been pretty good every time. They have both inside and outside dining areas. The outside is partially covered and partially open air.

They have two unisex bathrooms with nice locks. I wish I would have taken a picture because I’ve never seen anything like them before.

The Grub:

I had the Chicken Gyro, which was good, but very hard to eat because it was so big. The flavors were tasty, but the chicken was cold, and I would have preferred it to be warm. The Tabouli was okay but didn’t have a lot of flavor. They do have a good wine list and cocktail menu.

I was lucky enough to try my husband’s tomato soup, which was quite tasty!  I didn’t try his sandwich, but he said it was very good.

The Service:

The service was good.  Our server was very friendly and other staff helped out if there was anything we needed.

The Scratch (Per Person):

$30-$60

The Duds:

Casual dress is appropriate here. You’d even be fine if you just walked off the trails and needed to grab lunch!

Take Note:

If it is a busy day, you might struggle to find parking. It’s a small town with mostly street parking.
